A Little Letter from the Children at Only About Children Surry Hills!
Hello there, new grown-up friend!
We're the children at Only About Children Surry Hills, and we've been wishing on dandelions and rainbows for someone very special to come and lead our big, happy home.
Our campus is full of giggles, tiny footsteps, and the smell of playdough and sunshine. We have nine learning rooms and outdoor spaces where butterflies visit us and the trees whisper secrets when the wind blows.
Every day, we build castles, paint the sky, and discover new things about our world. But we need a leader who believes, like we do, that every day can be an adventure.
Someone who smiles when we smile.
Who listens to our stories (even the long, wiggly ones).
Who helps our Educators feel proud and excited.
And who makes our families feel warm and welcome - like they've just come home.
We think our new Centre Director will have a big heart, a curious mind, and sparkly eyes that see magic in the little things.
And guess what? The grown-ups at OAC promise to take really good care of you too - with:
- Extra holidays (because rest makes the heart happy)
- Special wellbeing days
- Learning adventures in the OAC Academy
- Celebrations for all the amazing things you do
- 50% off childcare for your own little ones (we'd love to meet them too!)
All we ask is that you:
- Know how to help children grow, play and learn (Bachelor in Early Childhood Education)
- Have led or helped lead a team before (5+ years experience)
- Understand the rules that keep everyone safe and happy
- Believe that little moments make the biggest difference
So, if your heart feels warm reading this, maybe you're the one we've been waiting for - our next big dreamer, leader, and friend.
We'll save you a spot at story time.
Love,
Your future little friends at Only About Children Surry Hills.
📧 P.S. Our friend Simon is helping us find you - you can say hello to her at simon.pym@oac.edu.au.
We have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion and we want you to bring your whole self to work. We welcome and encourage applications from all members of the community, particularly those who identify as Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
