About this role

Early Childhood Teacher - OAC Deanside

I may not know the word curriculum yet.

But I know when learning feels exciting.

I know when a story makes me wonder.

I know when a question makes me think.

I know when someone helps me feel ready for the next step.

At Only About Children Deanside that teacher could be you.

We're looking for a thoughtful, passionate and child-centred Early Childhood Teacher.

About our Deanside campus

At Deanside, my campus is being built for new friendships, new routines and new beginnings. I arrive in the growing City of Melton, at a purpose-built campus on Best Drive with eight rooms and two big outdoor yards. It is a place where a new community can grow from the start.

I can learn through the OAC Grow Curriculum in spaces made for nursery, toddler and kindergarten children. I can be supported by educators, families and allied health services when I need them. This is where I can feel safe, respected and inspired to explore, learn and belong.

You're The Difference

At OAC, they say You're The Difference.

I think that means you help me see how big my world can be. Stories, blocks, songs, numbers, mud, paint and pretend play all become ways for me to learn.

About the role

I need a teacher who sees learning in my play.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will lead high-quality teaching, plan curriculum, document progress, partner with families and mentor educators. Your work will be guided by the EYLF, NQF, Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and OAC Grow Curriculum.

What you'll do

My confidence grows when you create learning that builds language, independence and curiosity.
My next steps feel meaningful when you plan, document and reflect on what I am discovering.
My thinking stretches when you design play-based experiences that help me question, solve and try.
My school readiness grows through stories, conversations, routines, friendships and rich play.
My educators grow when you mentor them in intentional teaching and connected learning.
My family feels included when you understand my strengths, culture, needs and progress.
My campus improves when you contribute to QIP, self-assessment and educational practice.

What you'll bring

An approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification.
Teacher registration or accreditation, where required.
At least three years' experience in early childhood.
Understanding of the EYLF, NQF, child development and inclusive practice.
Experience mentoring or supporting colleagues.
Strong communication, documentation and reflection skills.
A Working with Children Check and relevant clearance.

What we offer

OAC recognises the difference your teaching makes through above award pay, worker retention payment and recognition programs.
Professional development leave helps you maintain ECT proficiency and keep growing your practice.
Grow Curriculum support, professional development and expert-led learning help you bring richer ideas into my play and learning.
Your pathway can grow into Educational Leader, Assistant Director, Campus Director or Support Office roles.
Your family matters too, with up to 50% childcare discount for eligible team members, paid parental leave and salary sacrifice options.
OAC Rewards, Wellbeing Days, TELUS Health EAP and digital wellbeing resources help support your life inside and outside work.

Child safety and inclusion

I need to feel safe before I can learn, play and grow.

At OAC, child safety comes first. There is zero tolerance for child abuse and harm. Everyone who joins the team must help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive place where children have a voice, feel safe, and are valued and respected.

You will need to complete all required working with children, background and compliance checks. OAC welcomes people from all backgrounds who share this commitment.
