About this role

Educators - Cert III and Diploma

When the grown-ups around me keep learning, I keep growing too.

I feel it when my environment is calm.

I feel it when educators wonder together.

I feel it when adults listen to my voice, my culture, my questions and my way of seeing the world.

At Only About Children Charlemont, you can help create that ripple.

We're looking for a confident, capable and practice-focused Advanced Educator.

About our Charlemont campus

At Charlemont, my campus is beginning a brand-new story. I arrive in the Geelong region, at a new purpose-built campus on Batten Road with six rooms, new resources and a big outdoor yard made for children like me. Everything is being shaped with care from the start.

I can learn in spaces for nursery, toddler and kindergarten children, with room to move, wonder and belong. New routines, friendships and traditions can grow here. This is a place where my ideas can be noticed from the beginning and my confidence can grow with the community.

You're The Difference

At OAC, they say You're The Difference.

I think that means you help educators see what I am trying to say through my play. You help them notice what I am ready to try next, so my learning can go deeper.

About the role

I need educators around me who keep learning too.

As an Advanced Educator, you will provide high-level practice, leadership and mentoring across the campus. You will support curriculum, strengthen child safe and inclusive practice, and help educators feel more confident.

What you'll do

My learning deepens when you help educators notice my interests, voice, culture and way of learning.
My day feels more thoughtful when planning and documentation reflect what I am discovering.
My room feels safer when you model respectful, child safe and inclusive practice.
My ideas grow when you help improve the spaces, routines and learning moments around me.
My educators feel stronger when you mentor, guide and support quality across the campus.
My sense of belonging grows when you build relationships with families, educators and leaders.

What you'll bring

A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent.
Senior educator or mentoring experience.
Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQF, child development and inclusive practice.
First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
Clear communication and warm mentoring skills.
Commitment to child safe leadership and improvement.
A Working with Children Check and relevant clearance.

What we offer

OAC recognises the leadership you bring through above award pay, worker retention payment and recognition programs.
Your family matters too, with up to 50% childcare discount for eligible team members, paid parental leave and salary sacrifice options.
Professional development, Grow Curriculum support and expert-led learning help you keep strengthening practice across the campus.
Your pathway can grow into Room Leader, Educational Leader and broader leadership roles.
Education assistance, qualification support and paid study leave where eligible help your learning continue.
OAC Rewards, Wellbeing Days, TELUS Health EAP and wellbeing resources help you stay supported while supporting others.

Child safety and inclusion

I need to feel safe before I can learn, play and grow.

At OAC, child safety comes first. There is zero tolerance for child abuse and harm. Everyone who joins the team must help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive place where children have a voice, feel safe, and are valued and respected.

You will need to complete all required working with children, background and compliance checks. OAC welcomes people from all backgrounds who share this commitment.

Apply now

If you want to help the grown-ups around me keep learning, so children like me feel safer, braver and more curious, I hope you apply.
