About this role

Casual Educator - Asquith

Even when you are only with me for the day, I notice.

I notice when you learn my name.

I notice when you take the time to help me settle.

I notice when you smile.

I notice when you make the room feel calm, safe and familiar.

At Only About Children Asquith every shift can make a difference.

We're looking for warm, flexible and reliable Casual Educators to join our team.

About our Asquith campus

Our purpose-built Preschool and Childcare is located in a fun factory setting, conveniently located in the heart of Asquith at 57 Salisbury Road, Asquith, 2077. We are conveniently located near public transport with Asquith Station only a five minute walk away.

You're The Difference

At OAC, they say You're The Difference.

I think that means even one shift matters. You help my educators, my room and me feel safe enough to keep playing, learning and trying.

Because of you, the day can still feel familiar, even when something has changed.

About the role

I need safe, kind grown-ups around me, even when the day is busy or different.

As a Casual Qualified Educator, you will support rooms across the campus, bringing warmth, flexibility and care into children's routines, play and learning.

What you'll do

My day feels steadier when you step into my room with warmth, calm and confidence.
My routines feel familiar when you support meals, rest, transitions, hygiene and personal care.
My play keeps growing when you join in, notice what I am curious about and help learning feel safe.
My room feels supported when you build positive relationships with children, families and educators.
My day still feels calm when you adapt quickly across different rooms, ages and routines.
My safety matters every shift, so child safe practice, supervision and inclusive care are always part of what you do.

What you'll bring

A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or approved equivalent.
Early learning experience, preferred.
Flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude.
Warm communication with children, families and teams.
Understanding of supervision, routines and child safe practices.
Confidence adapting across rooms and age groups.
A Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.

What we offer

OAC gives you flexible casual shifts that can support your availability and lifestyle.
Supportive campus teams help you feel welcomed when you step into the room.
Working across rooms and age groups helps you keep building confidence and experience.
Curriculum and wellbeing resources help you understand how children like me learn through play.
Casual work may open pathways into permanent roles across OAC.
OAC values casual educators as part of the team, because even one day can matter to children like me.

Child safety and inclusion

I need to feel safe before I can learn, play and grow.

At OAC, child safety comes first. There is zero tolerance for child abuse and harm. Everyone who joins the team must help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive place where children have a voice, feel safe, and are valued and respected.

You will need to complete all required working with children, background and compliance checks. OAC welcomes people from all backgrounds who share this commitment.
