Casual Cook – Inner Melbourne Suburbs 

Are you passionate about creating nutritious, child-friendly meals that support health and wellbeing? Only About Children is currently looking for a casual cook to support our campuses across Inner Melbourne, including suburbs such as South Melbourne, Elsternwick, Armadale, and Hawthorn.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your love of cooking into a warm, community-focused early learning environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Preparing morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea aligned with the OAC Nutrition Guide

• Managing dietary requirements and allergies carefully and accurately

• Labelling food service trolleys clearly for allergy variations

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen

• Managing food storage, stock levels, and inventory rotation

• Supporting a positive mealtime experience for children

What We're Looking For:

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Commercial Cookery

• Experience in an early childhood or aged care setting (preferred)

• Valid Working with Children Check

• Sound understanding of food safety and allergy management

• Availability to work flexible hours across multiple campuses

• A positive, reliable and proactive approach to kitchen operations
